Why we check the fiber first

Because it is the single biggest variable in whether you are happy afterward, and because Scottsdale has more of the fibers that punish a wrong guess.

Wool browns permanently if it is over-wet. Olefin wicks stains back up as it dries. Polyester holds oil and needs a different pre-treatment entirely. Running one product and one moisture level across all of them produces a bad outcome on at least two.

It costs a minute to check and it is the difference between a clean carpet and a damaged one. The full guide is on its own page.

What orbital agitation actually changes

Worth explaining, because it is the step that separates our price from a cheaper one.

Extraction alone sprays solution on and pulls it back off, which cleans the surface of the fiber. Orbital agitation works the solution down into the pile mechanically first, so the soil at the base, which is the soil doing the damage, actually releases before extraction.

It also cuts dry time noticeably, because less water is needed for the same result. On wool and on commercial floors that matters twice over.

And the rinse matters as much

The half that causes long-term damage when it gets skipped.

Detergent left in carpet attracts soil. A carpet that was over-shampooed and under-rinsed gets dirty faster than before it was cleaned, which is why some people clean more and more often and conclude the carpet is old.

If your carpet feels stiff or crunchy underfoot, that is residue rather than dirt, and it is fixable.

What we will tell you that costs us money

When a lane will not recover. Worn fiber is worn. Cleaning improves it and does not erase it, and you hear that before the work.

When wool has already browned. More moisture risks making it worse rather than better.

When carpet is finished. Delamination, wear through to the backing, widespread urine saturation. The money is better spent on replacement and we will say so.

When an add-on is not worth it. Protectant on already-worn fiber is protecting something that has lost the argument.

Questions

What happens when I ring?

You count your carpeted rooms, stairs and hallways and we give you the price on that call. No estimate visit.

What hours?

7am to 8pm, plus evenings and weekends for commercial work.

Will the price change at the door?

Only if the count was off, and you hear it before we start.

Do you move furniture?

Light furniture on request. Not beds, oversized pieces, or anything with electronics or breakables on or inside it.

Do you clean area rugs?

No. Wool and natural fiber rugs need different chemistry and handling, and running one through a carpet process is how rugs get ruined.

What is the 14-day thing?

If a spot comes back within 14 days we return at no charge. Some spots wick up from the pad as carpet dries.

Card accepted?

Yes, with a receipt by email or text.
